The Date & Location

One day only ------- March 15th, 2009 ------- Davison County Fair Grounds
Time
Building opens at 7:00am ------ Registration (check in) begins soon after that ------ Shooting starts at 8:00
Registration
Registration will be required to setup times for shooting. There are limited number of shooting times and lanes which will be filled in the order of which times are requested. Shooting lanes are not assigned. For Pre-registration information go Here. Day of the Shoot - Available shooting times will be determined by those no filled by pre-registration. Pay when you arrive and check in, not before.
The Rules
The 4-H Code of Conduct will be enforced. The rules governing the 4-H Competition will be used. Go HERE to read the rule books. The scores will be posted on this website after the event. There will be no challenges accepted, as there are no awards only certificates of achievements.
Both Kids and Adults Can Participate
Kids - Since we are using the 4-H competition rules, to participate you MUST have been age 8 before Jan. 1st, 2008.
Adults - Must be young enough to safely participate in the disciplines of your choosing. Adults are encouraged to shoot too. This is what will make it a family event.
Classes
Beginner: Ages 8 - 10 ----- Junior: Ages 11 - 13 ----- Senior: Ages 14 - 18 ----- Adults: 19 - Over
Disciplines Being Shot
Archery - BB Gun - Pellet Rifle (.177 only) - Pellet Pistol (.177 only) - 22 Rifle (22 rimfire)* - 22 Pistol (22 rimfire)*
Cost
There will be a fee of $3.00 per person, per discipline. Pay when you arrive and check in, not before.
* The 22 rifle and 22 pistol disciplines will be taking place at the Davison Shooting Club Indoor Range which is right next to the West side of the Davison County Fair Building. There will be a $5.00 surcharge per family. The $5.00 covers both 22 rifle & 22 pistol disciplines.
Equipment & Ammo
You will need to bring your own equipment and ammo to be used. Targets will be provided.
Targets Used For Postal's
Targets shot at this event can be used for 4-H Postal's and qualifying for the 4-H State Match. If you are going to use your targets for Postal's then YOU will need to tell the Line Officer so they can be signed and YOU will have to pick up your targets after they are scored. Targets will be scored by the people WE have assigned to do the scoring.
Time Schedules For Disciplines
Archery

This discipline requires 1 hour and will have 20 shooting lanes available at a time. You will be shooting a 1/2 NFAA Indoor Round, 30 arrows. We will be able to move target butts to the 10yds for Beginner, 15 yds for Juniors, Seniors and Adults 20yds. Youth 8 to 18 can shoot in the 4-H disciplines or the NFAA shooting styles, Adults will shoot as the NFAA shooting styles. Shooting times are 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00am, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00pm.

BB Gun
This discipline requires one hour. The positions will be in order as follows, Prone, Standing, Sitting and Kneeling. There will be 25 shooting lanes available at a time. Shooting times are 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00am, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00pm. If you have question on this discipline call John Geidel - Home 996-6558 Cell 999-6405
Pellet Rifle
This discipline requires one hour. The positions will be in order as follows, Prone, Standing and Kneeling. 10 shooting lines will be available at a time. Shooting times are 10:00, 11:00, 12:00 and 1:00pm.

Pellet Pistol
This discipline requires one half hour to shoot 4 targets. There will be 12 shooting lanes available at a time. Shooting times are 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30am, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, 3:30, 4:00, and 4:30pm.

22 Rifle*
*See Cost up above. To participate in the 22 events you must be age 11 (by Jan. 1st 2008) or older. This discipline requires one hour. The positions will be shot in the order as follows, Prone, Standing and choice of, Sitting or Kneeling for a total of 3 positions. There will be eight shooting lanes available at a time. Shooting times are 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00pm. If you have question on this discipline call George Sinkie - Cell 770-5555
22 Pistol*
*See Cost up above. To participate in the 22 events you must be age 11 (by Jan. 1st 2008) or older. This discipline requires one half hour to shoot 3 targets. The targets will be shot in the following order, Slow Fire, Time Fire and Rapid Fire. There will be eight shooting lanes available at a time. Shooting times are 12:00, 12:30, 1:00 and 1:30pm.
Sunday shooting times are 8:00, 8:30, 9:00 and 9:30am.

Food
There will be a concession stand in the building run by Davison County 4-H Shooting Sports Club. There will be a place to sit and eat. However NO food or drink will be allowed in the area were the events are taking place, only in the designated area.
